Characteristics of olive wood

If there is a tree that represents Spain, one could almost say that it is the olive tree. In part for its great contribution to the development of the national olive oil, although its properties are not only in creating the liquid gold.

It is also a type of wood that is integrated into the group of hardwoods. This means that this olive wood has resistance and a long duration in the embers. What stands out from this olive wood is that it produces a large amount of flame, which makes it one of the most ideal candidates to use as heating wood in stoves or chimneys. Its wood is very appreciated and it is part of the main options to take because of its high calorific level. Also, they are not treated with wood that involve a high cost, so that also plays in their favor.

Characteristics of holm oak

The oak is a tree that can easily exceed 20 meters in height and is characterized, among other things, by having one of the hardest woods we can find. It is a high density wood that has had multiple uses. One of the main ones has been the creation of resistant structures, given this condition of hardness that represents them.

Today it is used, above all, to cook and create the embers for barbecues and restaurants, partly because of its duration and long consistency when lighting the fire. In addition, until not long ago, oak firewood was used as the main fuel in Spanish homes, thus becoming the only form of heating, along with coal.
